The Piece

I used several techniques, most of the being photo filters, curves and levels to make the image alot more darker. Then i added some more depth to her eyes and ruined eyeliner to make her more upset, for the final steps i added in two C4D's, C4D's are made using a 3d rendering program called Cinema 4D after adding them i duplicated one and smudged it to add more depth to the piece bu editing the colours with it, with the other C4D i added i mored to the right place that flowed well, for the last step i added text and duplicated them and smudge them.

photo manip research unit 12,29 part 4
This piece by chixor is really talented artist, in this piece he has done titled Rainbow Days, he makes the spray can seam to shoot out with colour when he uses it, he did this by using brushes and vectors in photo shop and carefully placing them so they flowed well. I think this is relevant to my identity project and i belive a work of art has to have a interesting focal point and good flow, if it doesnt avn any of these the viewer will get bored and dislike the piece.

Another artist i have also chose is a artist called Bloddroppe, a qoute from the artist
"I Want to create a world that exists between dreams and reality. Where i can go my own and let my feelings and thoughts take art in a piece of art."

Self Captivity

I fine bloddroppe work really interesting as he only uses simple cloning and photofilters to achive his work but he use's these tools in photoshop to the full extent.

Another Artist i have fount on deviant art know as moonshine90

Moonshine90, is 19 years old from germany she started doing photo manipulations in december 06, at the moment she is trying to explore the darker more emotional side of art
Melody Of My Mind

I chose this piece by moonshine 90 as it displays a lot of emotion visually. the clef is painted on her skin, and the rest is edited in on photoshop, the monotone colour palate fits the mood with the piece really well, bringing the emotion out alot more.
If you want to check out more of work www.moonshine90.deviantart.com

Here i am looking at work from a deviant art user called night fight.

A couple of facts about this user.
She is 18 and has been using photoshop for a few years, her main focus is photo manipulation tutorials and photo manipulations altho she does do actions for photoshop
Poisoned

This piece of work by night fate, relates to my work, as it is very dark and moody,it is also very monotone, this helps the piece as it is an overall dark piece, the content of this piece is the woman, the tree, the clouds, the birds and the grass all blended together to form a image.

Making A Mask Out Of Metal
Some Tips on making a mask out of metal.
- Take 3 sheets of tin or aluminum foil. Overlap them in a stack.
- Push the sheets at the same time onto your face. Push down as hard as you are comfortable pushing. Do it carefully, so the foil does not become punctured.
- Make sure you have the general outline of your face: nose, lips, corners of your eyes, and cheek bones. Take your fingernail or a toothpick and gently (without tearing) trace around your eyes (it might be good to follow the bones around your eye socket) for where you want the eye holes in your mask to be. Also, trace around anything else you want cut out. (Breathing holes are useful for breathing.)
- Carefully remove the foil from your face. Cut with sharp scissors around where you want the edges of the mask to be. (Try not to reverse the order on those two steps.) Remember: once you cut it, you can't really go back easily, so leave extra.
- Carefully cut out the eye holes either by puncturing the foil with a tooth pick and tearing the foil out, or snipping in the center of the area with the tip of scissors and folding the foil back.
- Cut holes/slots in the side of your mask for the ribbons/cord/shoelaces to attach it to your face.
- Cut small sections of tape, and, while pressing the mask to your face to keep the features strong, gently place the tape onto your mask. When you feel the mask's features are firm enough, place all the sections of tape, overlapping, across all visible places of foil, including the back (foil is itchy).
- Tie whatever you feel will work to the holes in the side of your mask, making sure to have enough length to not only wrap around your head, but tie in a nice knot/bow.
- Use acrylic paints and paint whatever you want, making sure to leave it to dry in a spot where prying hands/curious pets/flying particles of anything won't disturb it. You can even sprinkle glitter on the paint while it's wet if you like.
Couple of site for mask ideas
Here is 2 sites i have fount that contain masks, they are really useful for ideas and how to make mask
the sites are
hope they help for anyone who needs/uses them.

Straylight Run - Existentialism On Prom Night
Straylight Run - Existentialism On Prom Night
This Song has to one of my favorite songs of all time the word EXISTENTIALISM is such a strong powerful word it means
"Dealing with the emotions, actions, responsibilities, and thoughts of the individual person and his or her conditions of existence. The early 19th century philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, posthumously regarded as the father of existentialism, maintained that the individual has the sole responsibilities of giving one's own life meaning and living that life passionately and sincerely, in spite of many existential obstacles and distractions including despair, angst, absurdity, alienation, and boredom. Subsequent existential philosophers retain the emphasis on the individual, but differ, in varying degrees, on how one achieves and what constitutes a fulfilling life, what obstacles must be overcome, and what external and internal factors are involved, including the potential consequences of the existence or non-existence of God. Many existentialists have also regarded traditional systematic or academic philosophy, in both style and content, as too abstract and remote from concrete human experience. Existentialism became fashionable in the post-World War years as a way to reassert the importance of human individuality and freedom."

Snakes And Mythology

Snakes And Immortality
Some cultures regarded snakes as imortal because they appeared to be reincarnated from themselves when they shed their skins. Snakes were often also associated with immortality because they were observed biting their tails to form a circle. Circles were seen as symbols of eterenity. The circle was particularly important to Dahonmeyan myth where the snake-god Danh circled the world like a belt, corsetting it and preventing it from flying apart in splinters.

Identity Photography

Well here is a piece of photography, that well you could call a Identity piece, it is a photo of a name band while i was in hospital, it basically tells the nurse or doctors who i am, my date of birth and what ward i am on, with out this name band they wouldn't know who i was what ward to send me to if i got lost or was in surgery, so all this from a little piece of plastic is well amazing, its just like a id card you use to get served or a passport to get in and out a country.
I suppose without this information, even tho we are capable of telling people who we are or our age it's there to stop certain things happening and to tell people where you are from or just as security measure, in our identity project we have to change all this and become someone else, i find the fact of that quite scary that we can change the way we act and how we look. In some cases like Sacha Baron Cohen we use this false identity to fool others into saying or doing things.
Audrey Kawasaki
Here is one of my fav artist of all time Audrey Kawasaki, her work is just amazing with a mix of art nouveau and manga check her out at www.audrey-kawasaki.com
